| James O'Connor was born in County Meath, Ireland in 1826
(not in picture). He crossed the Atlantic to America in 1842 and
settled in Lake County. He married Mary Kennedy in the fall of 1858. He
died in 1871 at only 45 years old, leaving his wife to manage with five
children. (left to right) Margaret, John, Lawrence, Mother Mary, James
Jr., and Richard, (front right). Two children died young, Michael at
nine years old, and Joseph at two years. |
